Council Meetings: Overview and Proceedings
When are Council meetings held?
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council meetings are generally held on the third Wednesday afternoon of each month from 5.30pm (except on public holidays or unless advertised otherwise). Council meetings are generally held at the Port Macquarie office, corner of Lord & Burrawan Streets and any member of the community is welcome to attend.
How can a member of the public speak at a Council meeting?
Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings and address the Council on agenda items or in the public forum. Registrations to speak may be made by an online form, fax or in person before 4.30pm on the day prior to the meeting day. These items will then be dealt with in the Open Council session from 5.30pm. Public addresses are limited to five minutes.
