Heritage Festival's Official Launch - Open Day and Celebration of 150th Anniversary of the Douglas Vale Homestead.
A day of fun and festivity with craft and stalls, wine tasting, food stalls, BBQ, entertainment all day and much more. Wheelchair access. Gates open at 9.30am till 3pm.

Notes:
Built in 1862 for George Francis, this property became known for its success in wine production between 1867 and 1918, winning prizes from shows in Europe and India. Remnants of formal gardens remain including dense bamboo clumps. Douglas Vale is being restored and is classified by the National Trust.
The Douglas Vale Historic Vineyard are producing a limited release of wines from the original "Isabella" grape and other selected varieties. Tours and wine tasting are available on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Nearest Public Transport: Douglas Vale Homestead and Vineyard is located 5 minutes drive west from Port Macquarie's CBD, on the Oxley Highway, between Findlay Avenue and Widderson Street.
