BIG BAND BLAST is a new annual band festival to be held the first weekend of June. Hosted by John Morrison, 2013 will be its inaugural year.

This music festival will celebrate the achievements of all musicians and BLAST is a festival for everyone.

Being a totally non-competitive event, BLAST proudly sends the message to play together rather than against each other to include big bands of all ages and styles.

Primary Stage Bands, High School Stage Bands, Community Big Bands and Seniors groups, they can all take part.

There are no requirements to play set music or strict adjudication rules, indeed, bands are asked to simply step up and play what they like to play.

Highlights of the Festival will include Saturday performance in Bandamonium, Saturday Concert, Gospel Jam Session and Music Workshops on Sunday afternoon.

So come one, come all. It's going to be a BLAST!
