Event Submission Criteria!

To be listed in Annual events, the event must:

occur at a venue or location within the Greater Port Macquarie region (Port Macquarie Hastings Local Government area).
be open to the general public
have broad appeal for people from the Greater Port Macquarie community as well as visitors to our area.
be expected to attract over 100 people
an event will only be given "featured event" status if it is expected to attract a significant number of people (over 1000), and a large percentage are from out of our LGA.
be submitted by the event organiser or authorised agent
be annual, one-off, yearly or special events
be specific, finalised and confirmed prior to submission (Events with dates to be announced, undetermined locations, etc. cannot be listed.)
all events must be open to the public with appropriate insurance and approval cover.
normal attraction schedules with phrases such as "tours every weekend," "open over Easter," "simulcasting," or "races nightly" will not be accepted.
Greater Port Macquarie Visitor Information Centre is not obliged to list events submitted here and reserves the right to edit or decline any event, and choose which events are given featured status.

Please note: to be listed as a Monthly event, the event must be special, one off performances or events, art exhibitions, fund-raising initiatives, tournaments which are of interest to the community and to visitors. The Monthly event must also fulfill points 1,2,3,6,8 and 9 in the above criteria.

Further information when submitting events:

events likely to receive favorable consideration are fairs, festivals, annual events, and exhibits.
events that will undergo careful review for broad appeal before being accepted include fundraisers, charity functions, trade shows, preliminary competitions, etc.
to provide an image/s of your event, please email them in jpeg format to tourism@pmhc.nsw.gov.au with your event title.
The event will go live on the site within 3 working days, or the Greater Port Macquarie Visitors Information Centre will contact you.
The event will automatically be removed from the website when the event is over.
