Water Week Launch Sunday, 16th October
Focus on Community arts and the environment with the aim of  bringing Osmosis & AquaSculpture back together under the one umbrella. Joint awards and prizes plus launch of Osmosis calendar available. The Water Show  - Tuesday, 18th & Wednesday, 19th October
A series of Water Shows presented by the SMART (Science Maths & Real Technology) team from Newcastle University. Presented to selected schools across Port Macquarie-Hastings. For more information phone Kim Freeman on (02) 6581 8241.

Free Water Trail Tour - Saturday, 22nd October
Community education on the theme "Healthy Catchments, Healthy Communities"  on a free Water Trail Tour. Includes morning tea. Bus departs Players Theatre carpark at 8.15am. Bookings essential. Phone Nina on (02) 6581 8064.

 

Osmosis 2011Osmosis 2010

As a part of World Water Day celebrations across the Hastings, photographers are encouraged to start snapping with the launch of Osmosis 2011.

Held annually in the lead up to National Water Week in October, the Osmosis photography competition aims to educate the community about the importance of water conservation.

Life In The Catchment is the theme of this year's competition and focuses on the human footprint left on the environment, its impact on aquatic habitats, water usage and its importance to all living things.
