Addressing Council in the Council Meeting Public Forum
Residents are able to address Council in the Public Forum of the Ordinary Council Meeting on any Council-related matter not listed on the agenda.
A maximum of eight speakers can address any one Council Meeting Public Forum and each speaker will be given a maximum of five minutes to address Council. Council may wish to ask questions following an address, but a speaker cannot ask questions of Council.
Once an address in the Public Forum has been completed, the speaker is free to leave the chambers quietly.
If you wish to address Council in the Public Forum, you must apply to address that meeting no later than 4.30pm on the day prior to the meeting by either:
- Completing the Online Request to Speak in Public Forum at Ordinary Council Meeting Form provided below.
- Downloading the Request to Speak in Public Forum at Ordinary Council Meeting Form, PDF link provided below, then forwarding the completed form to Council via:
- Email to council@pmhc.ns.wgov.au
- Fax to (02) 6581 8123
- In person to Council's Customer Service Centres at either Port Macquarie, Wauchope or Laurieton
