Perth Glory preparations on track for A-League pre-season soccer

While most of the focus has been on the Newcastle Jets for the upcoming Hyundai A / League preseason cup opener in Port Macquarie 14 July, The Jets opponents Perth Glory are currently have success in a pre-season tour of Malaysia.
Perth Glory having played three local sides with a big 4-nil victory against Super League outfit Perak on Tuesday night. Glory's new-look strike force has been on show with the coach playing three men up front throughout the match. It's a formation that has paid dividends so far with many scoring opportunities being created and seven goals hitting the back of the net in the club's two tour matches.
The Malaysian trip and a number of matches lined up against local Perth sides will ensure that when the Glory arrive in Port Macquarie they will be primed to take on the Jets.
Promising an exciting line up for the Port Macquarie crowd Glory's squad is brimming with players with international and overseas experience with a number of good young players on the way up. Glory stalwart Jamie Harnwell provides a back bone for the squad and for a man known for his defensive work proved a frustration to opposing defenders last season finding the back of the net on numerous occasions. Kiwi international Leo Bertos is another crowd favourite who brings the crowd to its feet every time he is on the ball.
