Council recognises the important role schools play in the preservation of the local history and has produced two eduction kits to encourage greater connection between local schools and our museums and historic sites.

Port Macquarie played an integral part in the national story of Australia and it is hoped these kits will assist in highlighting its unique role.

Heritage in a Box has been developed by Council's Museum Curator to encourage greater connection between local primary schools and our local museums and historic sites.

A School Education Kit: Port Macquarie's 2nd Burying Ground has been developed to assist both primary and secondary schools to prepare for a visit to Port Macquarie's Second Burying Ground.
