Parks Traineeships

We are the host employer of Parks Trainees for Mid Coast Group Training.

The Traineeships are a one year traineeship, studying Certificate II in Horticulture (with the possibility of a second year, studying Certificate III).

The Parks Traineeship provides a great opportunity to gain experience in all areas of parks and reserves, through a rotation program. Skills learned include mowing, garden maintenance, tree management, landscape construction and preparing sports fields for events.

The Aboriculture Traineeship provides an opportunity to develop knowledge and a broad range of practical skills required to cultivate, establish, maintain and care for trees and shrubs in public and private parks and reserves.

Water Industry Operations Traineeships

We are the host employer of Water Industry Operation Trainees for Mid Coast Group Training.

The Water Industry Operations Traineeship is a one year traineeship, studying Certificate II in Water Industry Operations (with the possibility of a second year, studying Certificate III).

This traineeship will give you the skills and knowledge to gain an entry level position in a water utility (such as a local government body, Sydney Water, Hunter Water and private enterprise, eg Veolia).

Water Industry Operation Trainees gain experience in water construction (installation of meters, mains and services), water treatment (filtration - membrane technology), water-quality monitoring, catchment management, general operations and reservoirs.
