Port Macquarie Airport is owned, operated, managed and developed by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.

The Airport currently has daily flights to Sydney flying DASH 8 200 and 300 series (up to 50 seats) or Embraer 170 jets (78 seats). Daily flights to Brisbane via Coffs Harbour and to Canberra via Newcastle are also available on Metro 3 aircraft (19 seats). It also supports a general aviation sector including charter, training and maintenance facilities.
The airport is currently developing the next stage of the general aviation sector. On completion, the sector will have space for up to 15 new commercial facilities.
The airport is operational 24 hours a day and handles aircraft movements of about 30,000 each year.
Port Macquarie Airport currently manages 122,000 passengers each year and has the ability to manage approximately 150,000 passengers annually.
