Draft Local Environmental Plan to rezone land at Lorne Road & Logans Crossing Road, Kendall
Council has prepared a draft Local Environmental Plan (LEP) to rezone rural land at Lorne Road and Logans Crossing Road, Kendall (Lots 35, 61, 66 DP 754418, Lot 4 DP 631582 & Lot 101 DP 836522) to allow future rural-residential development. A minimum rural-residential lot size of 8000m2 is proposed. The draft LEP also seeks to retain prime agricultural land and ecological values through appropriate zonings.
The Draft LEP is supported by a number of specialist studies that have been prepared by consultants on behalf of the landowners, which demonstrate the physical suitability and capability of the land for future rural-residential development. The draft LEP has been prepared as an amendment to Hastings Local Environmental Plan 2001 (Amendment No 70) and is consistent with the recommendations of the Hastings Rural Residential Strategy 2004.
A 'plain English' explanation of the Draft LEP is available from Council's Laurieton, Wauchope and Port Macquarie offices or it can be downloaded below. The specialist studies are available for inspection at Council's offices during the public exhibition.
