COMMUNITY REFERENCE GROUP
Council has established a Community Reference Group (formerly known as the Community Advisory Panel) which provides a reference point for decision making. CRG members act as a grassroots thinktank to help Council really understand community sentiment when making planning decisions.
The CRG was established in December 2009 and now has more than 250 members from throughout the Hastings. While the Group isn't a decision making body of Council, it is important that it represents the area's demographics and interest groups as closely as possible. Membership of the Group has not closed and people interested in joining can complete the form below.
Consultation with the CRG is conducted in accordance with Council's approved Community Participation Policy. The Policy and the Terms of Reference for the CRG can be downloaded below.

The CRG has played a vital role in the development of Council's Integrated Planning Framework by participating in workshops and surveys to assess service level priorities, expecations of road conditions and financial mapping.
