Register now for discounted microchipping

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is encouraging pet owners to register their four-legged friends for discounted micropchipping at a Pet Education Day at the Impound facility later this month. 

A cost of only $20.00 per micropchip will be charged to the first 100 pet owners who contact Council and make an appointment to have their pet microchipped at the education day. 

With many pets lost hurt or stolen Council Team Leader Ranger, Ian Chetcuti said the day provided owners an opportunity to ensure their pet was protected for life.

"There are far too many pets unable to be reunited with their loving owners because they are not microchipped or the contact details are not kept up to date," Mr Chetcuti said. 

The Microchipping Pet and Education Day will be held at Council's impound facility in John Fraser Place Saturday, 31 March.

Animal registrations will also be accepted on the day.  Some conditions will apply to obtain this service.
