Prospective Councillor information session

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's Administrator Neil Porter has arranged for a further one day Councillor Information Session to be run by the Local Government Association (LGA).

This Information Session is for prospective councillors intending to run as candidates at the September Local Government elections.

The information session will be held on Saturday, 12th May 2012 between 9:00am and 3:00pm in the Function Room at Port Macquarie-Hastings Council's Burrawan Street offices.

Administrator Neil Porter said councillors provide leadership to community and Council and need to work together to deliver good governance that benefits the whole community.

"Diverse representation from a geographical and social perspective is very important in creating a new Council that will truly represent the Hastings," Mr Porter said.

Those wishing to attend must book online by visiting Council's website at www.pmhc.nsw.gov.au/election no later than Thursday, 3rd May 2012.
