Lights camera action - Greater Port Macquarie reveals 'Little Treasures'
A new television commercial promoting Greater Port Macquarie's 'Little Treasures' is being filmed throughout the region this week.
Capturing idyllic scenery from various locations throughout the Hastings including Shelley Beach, Lake Cathie, Dunbogan, Comboyne, Wauchope and beyond, the finished production is set to feature in tourism campaigns nationally throughout the next three years which will promote Greater Port Macquarie as a holiday destination.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Tourism Marketing and Promotions Coordinator Jane Ellis said Council was excited to present a revamped tourism campaign designed to capture the diversity and beauty of the region as a whole.
"We have so much to offer on top of our gorgeous beaches and waterways," Ms Ellis said.
"The motion picture content and stills will add to the story of who we are as a destination, adding more layers, textures and character to the brand."
Shot from the perspective of a child, the motion picture is woven around holiday memories and collecting mementos.
"The commercial is based on our core brand insight that when in Port Macquarie you can let yourself relax and open up to feel your surroundings, reconnect with yourself and your family - it is the freedom that we associate with being a child," Ms Ellis said.
The new advertisement and tourism campaign is expected to be launched in the second half of the year.
