Expressions of Interest - Emerald Downs Community Centre

Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from community organisations interested in operating the Emerald Downs Community Centre. 

The Centre was established in 1997 and has provided a venue for many community programs and activities such as children's playgroups, adult education classes, exercise classes, church services and children's parties. 

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Community Facilities Officer David Purnell said interested community organisations wanting to operate the Centre are required to lodge an Expression of Interest application, available online at Council's website.    

"Applicants will be assessed on the organisation's ability to provide equitable access to the Port Macquarie-Hastings community, which aligns with Council's Delivery Program," Mr Purnell said.

"Expressions of interest will be assessed and a shortlist of potential users developed. Negotiations can then take place with organisations around the development of an appropriate form of management agreement for use of the Centre."

Submission period closes on Thursday, 7 June 2012.
