Joining the Library

Everyone is welcome to join the library. Membership is free. We will need to see personal identification, including your current address. A parent or guardian must sign the application form if you are under 16 years of age. Cards are issued while you wait or you can fill in the online form below. Your card can be used at any Port Macquarie-Hastings Library. Port Macquarie Library, Front Desk

Borrowing

  • 20 items per card at any one time, including:
    • 5 CDs
    • 5 hear-a-books               
    • 5 cassettes
      (includes multi-media)
    • 5 videos
    • 2 DVDs
    • 5 CD-Roms                          
  • 3 week loan period. Books may be renewed twice. This can be done by phone.
  • A replacement card will cost $2.60.
  • Reservations and requests from other branches will cost 60c.
  • Remember your card. Your card is essential for borrowing and all other services.

 

Port Macquarie-Hastings Membership Application Form: 

You may use this form to join the library. All new library members must show proof of their Port Macquarie-Hastings residential address before they can borrow. Your library card will be processed within two days of submitting this form. On your first visit to the library you will need to bring along proof of residence to activate your card.
 
*Acceptable proof of address includes: drivers' licence, rates notice or water bill, telephone or electricity account or a health care card.
