What is Aus-Spec?

Aus-Spec was developed through the IPWEA as a national standard contract document with alterations to suit differing local government areas. The continuing development has now been taken over by Natspec.

The Aus-Spec Series of Contract Documents for Councils comprises eight separate products for use in local government. The specifications and associated documentation provide and excellent platform for preparing both construction and maintenance contracts.

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Aus-Spec is a set of specifications to ensure consistency and quality of all design and construction activities undertaken in Port Macquarie-Hastings Council Local Government area.

PMHC Aus-Spec 1 includes 15 Design Specifications and 34 Construction Specifications, quality design checklists, Standard Drawings and Supplementary Information, covering all the activities required for civil infrastructure design and construction to meet Port Macquarie-Hastings Council standards.

These documents are available FREE from this website, but if you require a hardcopy they can be purchased by filling out the hardcopy order form.

It is the subscribers responsibility to ensure the most current Specification & Standard Drawings are being utilised for any design or construction work that will be transferred to Council as a public infrastructure asset for its ongoing maintenance and control. It is therefore highly recommended that users subscribe to the e-newsletter update service for Aus-Spec. To do this please visit our subscriptions webpage.
