McInherney Close, Port Macquarie
McInherney Park is a popular foreshore reserve which is enjoyed all year round for both active and passive recreation.
The park is situated on the banks of the Hastings River and features an undercover shelter with electric barbecues and picnic tables. There is an on-site car parking area, however this is limited.
There are two man-made sandy beach areas located within the reserve. Powered vessels are excluded from entering the western beach area. There is a boat ramp at the western end of the park with trailer parking which is accessible from River Park Road.
McInherney Park is home to the Port Macquarie Sailing Club which holds its club day at the park on Sundays. The Port Macquarie Triathlon Club also utilises the park with monthly races.
